Scott L. Zimmerman Scott graduated with honors from the University of Michigan (B.A. 1975) and the University of California (Los Angeles, M.A. 1980 and U.C. Davis School of Law, J.D. 1983). He was Executive Editor of the U.C. Davis Law Review and recipient of the Neumiller Award for excellence in trial advocacy. He began his legal career as a litigation associate at Irell & Manella, Century City, in business litigation, and was a partner of Sanders Barnet Goldman Simons & Mosk, Century City, before establishing the firm in 1996. Scott has represented clients, including Fortune 500 companies, in diverse business areas of intellectual property litigation, real estate, general corporate disputes, and medical business litigation. He has been trial counsel in numerous proceedings in California courts and before arbitration tribunals, and has argued numerous matters before the California Courts of Appeal. |

Ron graduated with honors (Magna cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, Order of the Coif)from the University of California, Los Angeles (B.A. 1976 and J.D. 1980). Before joining the firm in 2001, Ron practiced law while associated with Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp, Los Angeles (entertainment litigation ) and as a partner at Cooper Epstein & Hurewitz, Beverly Hills (entertainment litigation) and at Manatt Phelps & Phillips, Los Angeles (entertainment litigation department). In addition to practicing law, Ron was active in the private sector as the Chief Operating Officer of a the leading entertainment advertising and production assistance company. Ron has extensive entertainment and intellectual property litigation experience, including music copyright infringement claims, recording artist publishing disputes, artist manager disputes, implied and express contract matters, sampling, copyright tribunal issues and licensing disputes. Ron has practiced in all California state and federal courts and has been admitted pro hac vice in out of state matters. |
Andrea P. Vogel Andrea Paley Vogel is senior legal counsel to the firm, and her practice focuses on commercial and real estate transactions and finance. Andrea graduated from Brown University (A.B. 1984) and the University of Chicago Law School (J.D. 1987). She began her legal career at the Los Angeles office of Morrison & Foerster and thereafter served eight years as Vice President and Senior Counsel at Washington Mutual Bank / Great Western Bank, where she was the primary legal advisor to the California commercial real estate lending, affordable housing and investment, REO sales, and asset management groups. She has also conducted her own law practice. Andrea has extensive experience in connection with loan origination and asset management; leasing; acquisition and sale of a wide array of commercial, retail and multi-family properties; real estate loan workouts, restructures, bankruptcies, receiverships, and foreclosures; as well as bulk sales and acquisitions of asset pools. |
